Our English as a Second Language (ESL) classes increase the English proficiency of refugees, allowing them to become more active, integrated members of the community.

Improving English Proficiency
The ESL & Life Skills program works daily with adult English language learners.
- Classes are kept small to enhance student/teacher interaction
- Open enrollment allows students to sign up whenever they are ready
- 3 levels of courses offered, ranging from pre-literate to high intermediate
- All classes are FREE
- Civics, financial literacy, and other life-skills instruction integrated
Flexible Class Schedules
AAU DOWNTOWN OFFICE LOCATION
ESL Classes:
- Monday-Friday, 9am-12pm (Levels 1,2,3)
- Tuesday and Thursday, 6pm-8pm (Mixed levels)
- Friday, 3pm-6:30pm (Mixed Levels)
Worksite Classes and Distance Learning Available (through Microsoft Teams) As Needed.
