Our Human Trafficking Support team is committed to education and outreach by providing essential trainings to community members and partners to raise awareness about the issues of human trafficking. Drawing on our direct work supporting survivors, our trainings help participants recognize the signs of trafficking, understand how it intersects with domestic violence, sexual assault, and labor exploitation, and know how to respond when someone may be at risk.
Several of our trainings are approved by the Utah State Board of Education (USBE). Utah law requires school districts and charter schools to provide human trafficking prevention and awareness trainings every two years to school personnel, parents and guardians, and students, using instructional materials approved by the Board. We are an approved provider, and our offerings include sessions for adults serving youths, parents and caregivers, and age-appropriate curricula for grades K-6.
