Join Us for an Important Milestone: AAU's Human Trafficking Support Center Open House

Save the Date: Friday, September 12, 2025 | 1:00 - 5:00 PM
Location: 1588 South Major Street, Salt Lake City

After months of dedicated renovation work, we're thrilled to invite you to celebrate a major milestone in our mission to serve Utah's most vulnerable populations. The Asian Association of Utah (AAU) has completed the transformation of our Major Street building into a dedicated Human Trafficking Support Center, and we want you to be among the first to see what we've accomplished together.

A Space Transformed, A Mission Expanded

What was once primarily used for storage has been completely revitalized into a comprehensive community support hub. Thanks to the generous support of Lowe's Hometown grant and countless volunteers, we've transformed the second and third floors into functional office spaces, conference rooms, and meeting areas designed specifically to serve trafficking survivors with dignity and care.

The renovation represents more than just fresh paint and new furniture, it's a direct response to the urgent need in our community. In FY2025 alone, we served over 1,400 human trafficking survivors across Utah.

A Legacy of Service

Since 1977, AAU has been a cornerstone of support for refugees and trafficking survivors from around the world. Working alongside Utah resettlement agencies, law enforcement, and the Department of Justice, we provide trauma-informed, culturally relevant services including case management, therapeutic counseling, English classes, and youth programs.

This new center represents the next chapter in that legacy, a dedicated space where survivors can access comprehensive services under one roof, supported by a team that understands their unique needs and backgrounds.

Join Us for This Special Day

Whether you're a long-time supporter, community partner, or someone interested in learning more about the fight against human trafficking, we invite you to join us on September 12th. Come see firsthand how your community's support is creating real change in the lives of survivors.

Light refreshments will be provided, and our team will be available to answer questions about our programs, volunteer opportunities, and ongoing needs.

Together, we're not just opening a building, we're opening doors to hope, healing, and new beginnings for some of our community's most vulnerable members. We can't wait to celebrate this milestone with you.
