Our English as a Second Language (ESL) classes increase the English proficiency of refugees and immigrants, allowing them to become more active, integrated members of the community.

Improving English Proficiency

The ESL & Life Skills program works daily with adult English language learners.

• Classes are kept small to enhance student/teacher interaction
• Open enrollment allows students to sign up whenever they are ready
• 3 levels of courses offered, ranging from pre-literate to high intermediate
• All classes are FREE
• Civics, financial literacy, and other life-skills instruction integrated

Flexible Class Schedules

AAU Downtown Office Location

ESL classes, Monday-Friday, 9am-12pm
Computer classes, Monday-Friday, 12:00pm-1:00pm
Evening ESL classes, Fridays, 3pm-6:30pm

In-Person classes restarting on April 5th, 2021. Distant learning available as needed.
