Neighborhood Happenings: May 2016

Dear friends,

May was terrifically busy and fun as we ended the school year with multiple celebrations.  We’re entering a “quiet” break for the ESL and Early Learning Programs – just in time for the Center expansion construction.  We should be ready to go when all of the programs start up again July 5th and in the meantime the Youth Summer Program will be running.  We’re taking advantage of the great weather by partnering with IRC and Salt Lake County to bring activities and events to the nearby Sunnyvale Park each Saturday.  This will be a great time to connect and reach out to our community – our Super Volunteer Alisa is supporting us in all things Volunteer related (her contact info is in the Newsletter this month) and can connect you to summer volunteer opportunities.  Thanks as always for all of your support and love!  This month’s newsletter is brought to you by our new summer Public Relations interns, Gordon Smith and Cambria VandeMerwe. They have hit the ground running, getting record attendance at our Mobile Medical Clinic this month.  I think they did a GREAT job on the newsletter and hope you enjoy it.
