Utah Asian Festival 2016: Year of the Monkey

The Utah Asian communities invite you to celebrate the 2016 Utah Asian Festival. Come enjoy a pageantry of performance, exhibits, arts and crafts and food from Asian communities represented by Cambodian, Chinese, Filipino, Hawaiian, Indian, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Laotian, Taiwanese, Thai, Tibetan and Vietnamese. It’s fun, free, and everyone is welcome!

Festival Schedule (tentative)

10 a.m. - Children’s Fashion Show
11 a.m. - Countries Cookoff
Noon - Grand opening ceremony with Lion Dance
12:20 to 5 p.m. - Cultural performances from 14 Asian communities
5 p.m. - So You Think You Can Asian Dance - audience dancing participation
6 p.m. - Asian Pop Dance and Parade, fun dress and cosplay encouraged

All day activities include:

  • Asian Marketplace
  • Children’s Activity Center celebrates Year of Money
  • Tea ceremony
  • Dragon Boat Ride
  • Unique Gift Baskets
